The dolphins are crying cos their swimming registration isn't recognised here!

Good morning, folks!

Another early start for his royal Freysson-ness. Last night me and Joanna went out. The plan (I thought) was to go to a salsa night at Alþjóðahús in town, where they were having a BBQ and stuff. We ended up at a flamenco show there instead which was cool but prior to that we walked around town until we found a nice looking restaurant called Shamil (I hope I got the name right) by Ingólfstorg. Joanna said that it was the best meal she'd had in a restaurant in Iceland so far. Not only that but the vibe was really chilled and the service was top class. We will definately be going there again ... when we've saved up ... cos the price of living here is just plain silly.

Which ties nicely in with the fact that yesterday I learned that unqualified healthcare staff in Iceland get paid less than the minimum wage in England (by a considerable amount) ... no wonder they're struggling to staff hospitals with qualified and unqualified staff! And then they won't recognise Joannas Masters degree in nursing as well as her 18 years experience because she doesn't meet their interpretation of the EEA contract ... Lets see ... lower wages ... more expensive to live ... qualifications and experience not good enough according to the government ... why did we move here again? ... Oh, yeah ... for the same reason you can no longer take anything with you on an airplane from England ... what is happening to this world? Is there no place for us? Is there a place for anyone who believes in tolerance, acceptance and manners above violence, religion and politics?

Go Magni ... he deserved that encore ... 'can you hear the dolphins cry?'

Much love,

Tóti
